Deer Ranch | St. Ignace

Open mid-May – mid-October

If you’re tired of scanning the roadside for deer at dusk, Deer Ranch flips the experience completely. This is one of Michigan’s oldest live deer exhibits, where you can walk right into a natural setting and see whitetails up close instead of from behind a windshield. They’re used to people, often eager for a snack, and the whole setup feels calm and approachable. Call ahead to see if the fawns are feeding.

Want more deer meet and greets? Try the Michigan Whitetail Hall of Fame Museum in Grass Lake.
