Rejuvenate At Michigan’s Lavender Labyrinth
Tucked away near the little town of Shelby is Michigan’s own Lavender Labyrinth. This unique destination, located at Cherry Point Farm & Market, is a fantastic experience for the entire family and one of the best things to do near Silver Lake Dunes.
About Cherry Point Farm & Market
Cherry Point Farm & Market is one of the oldest working farms in Oceana County. The first orchards were planted on the property in 1871.
In 1949, the Bull family began operating the farm. Soon after, they opened a fruit stand and market.
Today, a stop at the market for fresh produce has become a tradition for visitors traveling through the beautiful Silver Lake/Shelby area.

The Lavender Labyrinth at Cherry Point Farm & Market
Just a few steps away from the market, the Lavender Labyrinth in Michigan creates a calming and reflective oasis that beckons visitors to wander and explore. Its ancient spiral design is thought to be a spiritual journey and when walked, is symbolic of life’s journey.
The route is one path that weaves continually until reaching the center. From the center, you can walk back through the labyrinth or take a path directly back to the market.
The lavender begins blooming in spring, and by late July, will hit its peak.
Plan at least an hour to fully experience the lavender labyrinth. Walk the paths, sit quietly on a bench, and enjoy the beauty and serenity of this unique place.
Note: There is no charge to walk the labyrinth and herb garden during business hours.

At the center of the Lavender Labyrinth is an extensive herb garden. According to information provided by the market, this garden is designed in accordance with the principles of sacred geometry. The 12-point vesica pattern defines 36 beautiful herbal beds.
The garden is in bloom during the spring, summer, and fall. Therefore, there is always something fresh and fragrant to stimulate the senses.

More Around the Market
When visiting, be sure to stop by the ‘rock’ garden, an area filled with word stones. This area is a big hit with visitors of all ages.
Fresh, seasonal produce is available at the large market stand. Grab fresh veggies for dinner or delicious cherries to munch on the road.
A small store inside the main market offers unique Michigan-inspired and lavender gifts. Bulk lavender is also available for purchase.
