Indulge in Fresh Ice Cream at Moo-ville Creamery & Petting Farm

About Moo-ville Creamery
Moo-ville Creamery uses only fresh, high-quality ingredients from its farm. From the shopfront, you can see the cows up the hill. The most popular product that it produces is ice cream, which is available in an assortment of flavors. You can order a cone, sundae, banana split, milkshake, malt, float, smoothie, parfait, and more.
If you dare, order the Moo-ville Pig Trough, which includes 15 scoops of five ice cream flavors, five toppings, whipped cream, and cherries. You can win a commemorative T-shirt if you eat the entire dessert on your own in one hour or less.
Aside from ice cream, you can purchase butter, garlic butter, cinnamon butter, and different types of cheese. Moo-ville even makes ground chuck and patties.
Moo-ville Farm Tours & Petting Farm
There’s more to visiting Moo-ville Creamery in Nashville than getting dessert, though. You can take a self-guided tour for just a few dollars anytime that the farm is open. Full guided tours of the farm and creamery cost a few dollars more and are only available to the public between May and August. You can see how robots milk and feed the cows and calves, how milk is bottled, and more.
On top of that, you can get up close and personal with the animals at the Petting Farm. It’s completely free, and there are farm toys in a play area for kids to enjoy.
More than Ice Cream
If you’ve worked up an appetite, there’s more in the Moo-ville shop than ice cream and dessert. The lunch menu includes a range of items — soups, grilled cheese, deli and other sandwiches, hot dogs, and wraps.
More Places to See and Restaurants in Barry County
Throughout Barry County, you’ll find a few other interesting places to visit as well. Historic Charlton Park in Hastings is a historical village, museum, and recreation area. The 310 acres rest along Thornapple Lake, and there are plenty of recreational activities — boating, fishing, swimming, and hiking. The Historic Village and Museum is open for self-guided tours, allowing you to explore turn-of-the-century buildings.
Also in Hastings, Glass Creek Winery & Brewery makes award-winning wines from Michigan-grown grapes and other fruits. Its microbrewery has been making craft beer since 2016 too. It’s a great place to stop for a tasting and to relax.
If you’re in Hastings during breakfast and brunch hours, consider stopping at Hastings Riverwalk Cafe. The menu is quite varied — breakfast tacos, eggs Benedict, omelets, pancakes, French toast, burgers, sandwiches, and wraps. On the other hand, Bunker’s Smokehouse & Grille is a great place for smoked low and slow barbecue, burgers, sandwiches, and basket dinners.
On the western side of Barry County is Yankee Springs Recreation Area in Middleville. This beautiful 5,200-acre park offers the opportunity to go mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, fishing, and more. If you don’t want to picnic at the park, Yankee Bill’s Wood-Fired Saloon is nearby and serves hand-tossed, wood-fired pizza and house-smoked meats alongside Michigan craft brews.
Near the southwestern corner of the county is the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners. This 90-acre historic campus is full of classic automobiles of all makes and models. You could eat lunch while you’re there at George and Sally’s Blue Moon Diner, which serves sandwiches, soups, hot dogs, and bygone-era dinners and desserts. Otherwise, NEDS on Gull Lake is nearby and makes thin-crust pizza, Angus burgers, slow-cooked barbecue, and more.
