You Need to Visit this Michigan Family Farm for the Ultimate Fall Experience

Apple Orchard

On a recent weekend trip to Ludington my daughter and I stopped in the town of New Era to finally be able to check out Lewis Adventure Farm and Zoo. 

We first started our visit by taking a wagon ride out to the orchard to pick a peck of apples. 

Kid-Friendly Activities

With our general admission ticket, we were able to take one barrel ride and one carousel ride. 

Also included in your ticket are tons of barnyard activities to enjoy. One of the things I loved about this farm was that they had two huge jumping pillows which is always a favorite for my children.

What was really amazing was that the two were separated by height and I love that because oftentimes on jumping pillows my youngest can get overwhelmed by taller jumpers.

Barnyard Animals & Exotic Animal Encounters

After riding through the farm by barrel and wagon we fed some of the barnyard animals. Food can be purchased for a small separate cost. 

This isn’t your typical farmyard petting zoo. You’ll also get to see exotic animals and can even purchase different animal encounter experiences. 

Splash Acres

We were delighted to find out that Splash Acres was still open for the season. After spending the afternoon playing and visiting the animals it was nice to cool down at the splash pad. 

Countless Photo Opportunities

With countless photo opportunities spread throughout the farm ranging from a hand painted mural by Daydreams by Paige to towering skeletons you’ll be sure to come home with some frame-worthy photos. 

Farm Market & Bakery

There is a market and bakery with many specialty treats. My daughter and I were able to cool off with a cider sundae which included cider, ice cream, whip cream, and a donut. Good luck choosing from all of the tasty options!
