Hotel Earl of Charlevoix

Hotel Earl of Charlevoix is a boutique hotel in Charlevoix offering more than just lodging. The 56 modern guest rooms have a cosmopolitan vibe reflective of Earl Young’s Weathervane Lodge, and the hotel offers all the amenities you’d expect from an upscale Charlevoix hotel, including complimentary continental breakfast and specialty coffees.

The Earl is more than a hotel, though. It is a contemporary hotel with two distinct bar experiences located just one block from Round Lake and minutes from Lake Michigan. At HI Bar, you can sit high above the city and enjoy breathtaking views of Round Lake and downtown Charlevoix. The LO Bar, located in our lobby, provides comfortable indoor and outdoor seasonal seating.

We were in town for one night and decided to stay at The Earl. It’s a fantastic hotel. Cool decor, comfy rooms, exceptional staff and the coziest lobby bar! Good drinks and snacks. They have an incredible roof top bar which would be so much fun in the summer so we will be back. Highly recommend!!

Pointes North Inn

The Pointes North Inn is uniquely situated between Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix and offers 20 different hotel suites. This Charlevoix hotel has spas in some rooms and an outdoor heated pool on the premises.

This Charlevoix inn is just a short walk away from the historic downtown area which is filled with quaint shops and exceptional restaurants. The surrounding area has beaches, golf, hiking, biking, skiing, and other activities, as well as Northern Michigan day trip destinations.

It was our first time to Charlevoix and now that we have fallen in love with the town, we’re already planning our next trip back! From the amazing food, extremely friendly atmosphere and the views (which are incredible), you’ll definitely enjoy your stay. We traveled with our pup so having a dog friendly suite at Pointes North Inn was super accommodating. They went above and beyond leaving bowls, treats, and a dog mat for him.

We loved having the bedroom upstairs, away from the living room which made it feel bigger. Kitchen was updated and had everything you needed. Perfect patio walkout which lands you right on Main Street/Downtown, with a short walk to the water. Also, down the street within walking distance was a incredible coffee/crepe breakfast place, a few bars, restaurants and grocery store.

Also, the manager at Pointes North Inn immediately made you feel like home as you walked into the lobby. We cannot wait to come back with our pup for another trip!
