You can take a nice slow drive around the park, and pull off for your own private picnic. Once you’ve eaten, check out some of Belle Isle’s offerings, such as the Great Lakes museum, conservatory, and aquarium.

Not to be outdone, the Michigan Science Center is a great spot to visit in Detroit’s Midtown. Not only are there plenty of interactive exhibits, but there’s also a 4D theater, an IMAX Dome, a planetarium, and a special exhibit hall.
