Achatz Handmade Pie Co.
Gaining popularity over the last couple of years, this family owned gem will satisfy your pie craving in no time. Achatz Handmade Pie Co. has various locations around the Metro-Detroit area. Additionally, they have plans to franchise more throughout the state. Achatz is your spot for a fantastic pie. We love them because of the flaky pie crust and the incredibly sweet and savory flavors. Looking for an adventurous flavor? We suggest the Cannoli Cream pie. P.S. Slices of pies will be available for $3.14 all day on Pi Day at Achatz locations!

This new and innovative Detroit bakery should definitely be on your Pi Day radar. Sister Pie’s flavors change day-to-day but range from Honey Lemon Meringue to the unconventional Sweet Beet. They’re also great about accommodating various dietary restrictions. Also, if you’re completely sold after your first slice, they offer baking classes! Stop in their Detroit storefront or order online for all your Pi Day needs.

A long time favorite of the Awesome Mitten community, there are so many reasons to love Grand Traverse Pie Company. One main reason is their many locations on every corner of the lower peninsula and their overall appreciation for the Mitten. Word on the street is you may be able to stop in on Pi Day and grab a slice of pie… For free!

This old fashioned pie shop should always be a stop on your trip to the West coast of the state. Located on their vast fruit farm, we can only imagine how fresh their fruit pies are. Looking for an unconventional way to eat pie? Crane’s has pie flights!
