When it comes to holidays that sound like they could be pretty fantastic, I’d say National Potato Chip Day ranks pretty high among them. What could be better than a zero guilt day of consuming deliciously crisp and satisfying potato chips made right here in our very own state of Michigan? In celebration of such a glorious day of gluttony for snack food, I compiled a list of some of my favorites:
Do you love finding the rare, burned to the perfect brown, potato chip in your classic bag? Well, you are in luck! Did you know Better Made actually sells full bags of burned chips? You’re welcome.
If you love a bold flavor but aren’t a huge fan of spice, this could be the chip for you. Super tangy and crunchy!
To me, barbecue chips always taste like summer. If you haven’t gathered so much yet, I am not a big fan of spice. So for me, these Sweet BBQ’s take the cake – but if you are looking for something with more kick, trust me – they’ve got options!
If you are fighting the craving for a classic crunchy chip – stop and behold. These crunchy delights were recently named the #1 Best Potato Chip by the Chicago Tribune.
Better Made Salt & Pepper Chips
Before I started college, I had never experienced the glory of Better Made potato chips. Then one fateful day, a co-worker of mine passed me this bag of chips to try and my world was forever changed. My personal salty and (slightly) spicy favorite!
Yeah, you heard me correctly; you can get them in either Milk or Dark Chocolate. Maybe salty isn’t your thing, or you are just really in the mood to celebrate a holiday in a special way, but if there is one chip we all need to try, it is these!
So there you have it! That’s my personal favorite list of must-try Michigan Made spud snacks in honor of National Potato Chip Day. What are your favorite potato chips from the Mitten? Please, share in the comments.
