Chianti offers a more formal dining experience. This Mission Point restaurant on Mackinac Island specializes in Italian cuisine but also serves unique items such as wild boar.

Aside from their expansive dinner menu, Chianti also has a full brunch menu. The whitefish served with the smoked whitefish hash is freshly caught right in the Straights of Mackinac and the surrounding areas.

You guys, you must try the smoked whitefish hash. It is to die for.

Bistro on the Greens

Bistro on the Greens is another restaurant on Mission Point’s property. It is adjacent to an 18-hole putting course. Bistro on the Greens offers stunning views of Lake Huron, Round Island Lighthouse, and all the horse and bicycle traffic streaming around the island.

Reserve

Reserve is a new tasting room inside the resort that just opened this year. Mission Point Resort makes their own Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Blanc de Blancs.

Reserve also offers an amazing selection of fine meats and cheeses to create the perfect charcuterie board. Delicious chocolate morsels and truffles are available as well.

  1. I love Mission Point.I stayed there 2 years ago and will be back this fall. The staff is so wonderful and the grounds are just extraordinary! But I’d have to say my favorite thing is the whitefish :).
