On an average day, 7 Monks Taproom proudly displays 46 taps for customers to ponder over and choose a delicious beer from. On Tuesday, June 11, 2013, these taps will be taken over by Michigan’s tastiest hard cider. Ciders from Left Foot Charley, Uncle John’s Cider Mill, Tandem Ciders, Northern Natural Cidery, 45 North, Black Star Farms, Vander Mill Cider, Bowers Harbor, and many more will be available for choosing.
This will be the largest cider takeover that the midwest has ever seen, and the creators of these delicious ciders are excited to share their beverage with Northern Michigan. Twenty of 7 Monks’ taps will be taken over by these various ciders and I am personally excited to dabble in many cideries that I have yet to experience. Not only is this a spectacular way to spend a Tuesday evening, but 7 Monks is one of my favorite places in Traverse City. Fairly new to the area, it offers a calm atmosphere for people to sample Michigan’s finest beverages. They also serve great wines, meads, and liquor, along with a nicely sized food menu (get the nachos).
If you’ve never been to 7 Monks, June 11th will be the perfect opportunity to check it out as you get to see what some of Michigan’s best cideries have to offer. If you are already familiar with 7 Monks, I think we both know where you’ll be that night.
7 Monks will be open from 3pm-Midnight on Tuesday the 11th. It is located at 128 S. Union Street in downtown Traverse City. What ciders are you excited to try?
