Traverse City recently acquired a new grocery store and it’s taking the town by storm. Lucky’s Market, a provider of organic food and wholesome ingredients, made its debut appearance on March 21, 2017. It joined the ranks of some of Traverse City’s greatest shopping spots. On opening day, thousands of people flocked to the store to see what all the hype was about. Unsurprisingly, the buzz and excitement has yet to die down.
Having shopped at Lucky’s Market approximately fourteen times since its grand opening (yes, I’m obsessed), I’ve learned the ins and outs of what makes this place so great. I’ve discovered why so many people are cheating on their go-to grocery store for Lucky’s Market. Read on to see a list of reasons to fall in love with Traverse City’s newest shopping attraction:
1. The produce section is a rainbow of health
Walking into Lucky’s is like walking into a giant bag of Skittles, except you won’t find any sugar or corn syrup lying around. Instead, you’ll find juicy, delectable, farm-fresh fruits and vegetables sprawling across one fifth of the entire floor. With pre-chopped veggies and delicious fruit aplenty, it’s a wonderland for health nuts and sweet tooths alike.
2. Bulk up on savings
From gummy bears to granola, coconut bites to peanut butter clusters, chocolate covered pretzels to caramel pralines, Lucky’s offers an assortment of bulk items for the whole family to gobble up. Grab a bag or use your own container and stock up on your favorite munchies.
3. Beer, wine, coffee, oh my!
If there’s one thing the traditional shopping experience is lacking, it’s alcohol. Lucky’s understands that. They installed a beer and wine bar and made everyone’s dreams come true. They also serve coffee, lattes, and creamy chai, the quintessential cherry on top. Go ahead, sip and shop your heart out.
4. Two words: peanut grinder
Is there anything more delectable than warm, fresh, ooey gooey peanut butter? I think not. Thanks to Lucky’s Market and their handy dandy peanut grinder, shoppers can enjoy all-natural peanut butter straight from the source. Chocolate peanut butter is also available for grinding, because obviously.
5. A lunchtime oasis
Nestled in the back of the store sits a bustling kitchen boasting savory meals like pizza, sandwiches, meatballs, quesadillas, and crisp salads (just to name a few). Named “The Kitchen,” Lucky’s in-store meal service is the perfect place to hit up on your lunch break or on your drive home from work.
6. Fragrant flower bouquets
Next to the produce section sits a long display of beautiful flower bouquets, blossoming and filling the room with springtime fragrance. Whether you’re a fan of lilies, hydrangeas, or roses, there’s something for everyone.
7.Free bacon samples
Need I say more?
8. Support the local community
Reusable bags carry significant value at Lucky’s Market. Shoppers who use their reusable bags at checkout receive a wooden dime for each bag. Then they have the opportunity to donate their dimes to nonprofit organizations selected by the community. Lucky’s doubles the proceeds at the end of each quarter, bringing profitable growth to local causes.
9. Healthy, wholesome food to fuel your family
Perhaps the best thing about Lucky’s Market is their passionate desire to put good, affordable food and a splash of happiness where it matters most – on your dinner table.
The next time you find yourself in the Traverse City area, consider making a pit stop at Lucky’s Market to pick up some peanut butter, farm-fresh veggies, or bacon samples. You won’t be disappointed!
