It is no secret that Live Love Michigan promotes hope and non-profit organizations that are passionate about their projects. Since starting the Hold On To Hope campaign, Jake Prusakiewicz and Abigail Ehn have watched it grow beautifully. It has grown so much, in fact, that it is now getting its own domain name and becoming its own entity from Live Love Michigan.
According to Prusakiewicz, local non-profits were head over heels with the Hold On To Hope campaigns, but they wanted to be able to do more. First of all, they wanted to be able to purchase the designs for their own resale once the original campaigns were over. In addition, they wanted the opportunity to continue on with the services provided by Prusakiewicz and Ehn. From this, the idea to create an apparel store that is continuously availably for Hold On To Hope was developed. By giving it its own domain name, it allows these non-profit organizations the ability to receive donations year round.
Now each organization can make the decision at the end of the two week campaign whether or not they want to continue the partnership with Live Love Michigan or not. To continue, it will cost organizations $250 annually. This fee allows these non-profits to receive monthly donation checks, updated designs, and seasonal new products throughout the year. In addition, they can run an additional two week campaign if they want to do so.
Starting January 17th, Hold On To Hope’s campaign is Excellence for Detroit. This is a twelve week program that teaches skills needed for success in college. This is done with workshops and one-on-one mentoring sessions. Core academic skills, college counseling, and college entrance exam prep are the focal points of these workshops, and these are taught by professionals in the Detroit area, as well as high-achieving college graduates.
For the consumer, this means the fantastic apparel designed for each campaign will continue to be available. Customers will also have the opportunity to keep donating through the Live Love Michigan website as the campaigns continue. Overall, it means more happiness, hope, and mitten-love for us all.
