Letter from the Editor: It’s Gonna Be May

Letter from the Editor: It’s Gonna Be May

My dear Michiganders,

It’s really happened; the snow has begun to melt. For most of you, actually, the snow is completely gone… unfortunately, us northerners are still sitting on pockets of dirty slush that seems determined to last through the summer. The good news is: I can actually leave the house without a jacket (sometimes)!

Apparently I only took one photo this month. A good reminder, though!
Apparently I only took one photo this month. A good reminder, though!

We’re ready in our t-shirts at the Awesome Mitten, too. May is gonna be a fun month! Be sure to watch out for:

-Anthony’s post on the West Michigan Whitecaps
-Joanna’s roundup of coworking sites throughout the state
-A summer festival must-attend list from Chaz
-Hayley’s introduction to Pure Michigan DREAMJOB
-A list of northern Michigan summer events you can’t miss from Jennifer
… and more!

The next time I talk to you, we’ll be close to turning THREE! Keep stopping back to hear more about our next steps. We’ve had a lot in the works behind the scenes, so we look forward to introducing you to our Board of Directors (!) as well as launching a whole new way for you to share your #MittenLove with us and the world. We’re excited and we hope you’ll be too!

Until June,

Erin

I like to think that I’m just a simple northern Michigan twentysomething who loves good craft brews, great wine, summertime grillouts, and well-roasted coffee. I'm also a dedicated yoga practitioner, social media and marketing enthusiast, reader and writer, local food junkie, and outdoors explorer--and I'm always adding to the list. If you want to know something about what's going on in Traverse City, chances are I know about it and it's even more likely that I'm involved in it. I love this town and I love helping to make it shine.
