When a brewery shuts down a city block, it’s gotta be worth it – and at Short’s, it always is. Last Saturday, we had the distinct pleasure of attending the twelfth annual Short’s Anni Party in downtown Bellaire. We tasted amazing new beers and ciders (if you’re in to sours, Peachy Pom Pom cannot be beat!), downed some amazing tempeh tacos from Cordwood BBQ (Northern Michigan’s best farm-to-table barbecue), and grooved to the delightful sounds of The Crane Wives, The Go Rounds, and Vulfpeck.
Amidst the chaos that is a city block jammed full of beer enthusiasts, we made a point to sit down with Joe Short in the brewpub’s new addition, which gives a whole new meaning to the word ‘awesomer’ by (finally) adding outdoor seating for your perfect summer evening in NoMi. Keep your eyes peeled for our recap video from Level Up Management, an up-and-coming Michigan-based music management and digital media firm. For now, feast your eyes on these sick pics and dream a little dream of Michigan-made music, food, and beer under a brilliant pink sky.
When was the last time you visited the best brewpub in Bellaire?
