Knob Hill has 6 rooms and suites, some of which have 3 bedrooms. Each room is uniquely furnished and designed, but all of them have fireplaces and sitting areas of some sort. The bed and breakfast serves a gourmet breakfast every morning and has a cheese and wine reception every evening.

Wolcott House Bed & Breakfast

Even though it’s not in Flint, we have to recommend Wolcott House Bed & Breakfast. Located in downtown Fenton, this historic Italianate-style home was built sometime around 1900.

The original owners were a prominent family — the Wolcotts — and also owned the city’s Wolcott Mill. Now, Sean and Elaine Rosekrans welcome you into their stately, historic red brick inn, which has won several awards over the years.

Wolcott House has 3 gorgeous guest rooms that each has its own distinct decor. Every morning, the hosts serve a gourmet breakfast, and you can arrange ahead of time for a four-course Victorian tea session.

The grounds feature a Train Garden with five G-scale train tracks that lead to the Wolcott Bros. Circus, Wolcott Lumber Camp, Wolcott Mines, Lake Wolcott, and the Tiny Town of Wolcott.

For a historical stay, consider this 140-year-old home in Flushing. The owners have decorated it with color schemes and furnishings that reflect the old style. Despite that, it has all of the modern amenities that you need to be comfortable, including a fully equipped kitchen.

The 3 beds and 2 full bathrooms are well suited for up to 6 guests. In the backyard is a patio table with chairs and a new barbecue grill.
