Stand up paddleboarding is an ever so popular sport quickly gaining followers in Michigan.  Paddle the Mitten, founded by Linda Brown, provides a way for interested people to get everything from beginners’ information to equipment that professionals use.  Paddle the Mitten is Livingston County’s first stand up paddleboard studio and offers many unique and exciting ways to use a stand up paddleboard.

While living in California, Florida, Maryland, and the Hawaiian Islands, Brown mastered the art of and techniques behind stand up paddleboarding. Bringing her passion back to Michigan, Brown has been able to use her 20 years of water sports experience, Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, and SUP Guide and Certification in Education as a paddleboard instructor. Two of the most intriguing classes Brown teaches at Paddle the Mitten are SUPilates and SUPoga, all while using a stand up paddleboard. No experience is necessary for these classes and Brown invites all inquiring calls and emails.
