Day 306: Easter Brunch Guide

Easter Sunday is quickly approaching, and we here at The Awesome Mitten know how busy you are–so, if you haven’t made brunch plans yet, don’t stress. We have compiled a list of restaurants, state-wide, which offer either a holiday buffet or à la carte selections. Reservations are recommended, so act fast. Happy Easter!

West Michigan

Brick Road Pizza

Brick Road is known for its selection of vegan fare, and this Sunday’s brunch is no exception. The menu includes sweet potatoes, grilled asparagus, real egg and vegan quiches, free-range and vegan ham, and pecan pancakes with maple syrup.

Leo’s Restaurant

Located in the heart of Grand Rapids, Leo’s is a downtown favorite–as evidenced by its numerous local accolades. This year, Leo’s offers an à la carte menu, featuring char-grilled sea scallops, seafood crepes, as well as standard brunch foods like omelets, waffles, and honey-baked ham.

Only a 10 minute drive from downtown, Glendevon Banquet and Meeting Center is a beautiful place to enjoy this holiday. Their buffet includes unique items, like a mashed potato bar  and a dessert station. There will also be a carving station, with prime rib, and hors d’oeuvres.

Enjoy your Easter brunch right on the water, at Jack’s. This year, Jack’s breakfast and lunch buffet will feature items like Eggs Benedict, French toast, biscuits and gravy, teriyaki salmon, baked ziti with chicken, and stuffed pork loin. The buffet will also offer a chilled seafood bar, as well as a carving station.

Florentine’s Easter Egg’ceptional Buffet sounds just that! With a wide array of beverages and breakfast items, you won’t walk away hungry. There will be fresh scrambles and an omelet station, homemade biscuits and sausage gravy, a Bananas Foster station, as well as a Bloody Mary bar and fresh-squeezed mimosas.


Northern Michigan

A cozy, sophisticated brunch spot–with a menu that’s just for the adults–Hanna Bistro is one of the best in the city. Tasty à la carte options include Peppered Bacon-Scrambled Egg-and-Brie Sandwich, Morel Easter Quiche, Very Veggie Frittata, Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Fresh Whitefish, and Slow Roasted Carved Leg of Lamb.

Known as Mid-Michigan’s number one steakhouse, brewery, and wine shop, Mountain Town Station’s brunch buffet stays true to its bbq roots, while also offering the classics.  Gracing the menu are BBQ Ribs, Baked Catfish, scrambled eggs, French toast with maple syrup, Green Beans with Bacon and Almonds, and chocolate fondue.


East Michigan

More than 70 years after its conception, Weber’s remains one of Ann Arbor’s premier landmark restaurants. This Easter, they offer guests bountiful selections from both a cold and hot table. On the hot table, guests will find Rosemary Dijon Pork Loin, Corned Beef Hash, and fruit cobbler. Items from the cold table will include Ambrosia salad, potato salad, coleslaw, and a variety of mini pastries.

MotorCity Casino houses three fabulous restaurants–Iridescence, Assembly Line, and The Lodge Diner–to suit your Sunday brunch needs.
