The Great Lakes Pub Cruiser, an unparalleled option for a fun-filled outdoor adventure, will be coming to Grand Rapids this summer.  The Great Lakes Pub Cruiser is a way to enjoy beautiful weather in one, “15-person party bike.” It combines biking and beer-drinking, and is entirely powered by pedals.  Grand Rapids will become the 17th city with a “green pedaling machine,” and will be able to book tours on April 14, 2012.

The Great Lakes Pub Cruiser has a set of 3 different routes to choose from, when booking, as well as the option of renting the Cruiser for a private event.  Each route allows the passengers to visit 3 to 4 bars, for approximately 20 minutes each.  Additionally, if a bar you wish to visit is not on the list, you can call the Great Lakes Pub Cruiser to discuss how to incorporate the stop into your route!

The Great Lakes Pub Cruiser also offers a Bike and Brew Social Mixer Tour for alternative happy hour options.  The Tour allows riders to meet new people, as it is a sell-by-the-seat option.  A seat can be purchased for $30.00, which includes a t-shirt.  (Keep in mind that a $5.00 cash back option is available if you wear your t-shirt on the next tour!)  This Pub Cruiser tour option is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm–or 8:15pm to 10:15pm–and Fridays from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.  However, the Bike and Brew Social Mixer Tour will only run with at least 8 people in a time slot.

The Great Lakes Pub Cruiser operates from April 14 to October 31.  From Sunday to Thursday, the tours are priced at $160 per hour, with a 2 hour minimum.  On Fridays and Saturdays, tours are priced at $180 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.  Both options allow individuals to choose 1 of all 3 routes available.  For custom tours, visit the website for general pricing and rental period information.  Custom tours can also be organized, case-by-case, by contacting the Great Lakes Pub Cruiser. ~Kristin M.
