What better than a traditional Irish pub just in time for St. Patrick’s Day in Grand Rapids. Flanagan’s Irish Pub is located at 139 Pearl St. in the center of downtown Grand Rapids, right below high-end apartment living, 616 Lofts. Established in 1981, Flanagan’s combines classic Irish menu options with traditional American cuisine to create a well-rounded pub and grub option for both lunch and dinner patrons.
A successful attribute to the appeal of Flanagan’s, aside from convenient location, is the focus on daily specials in both food and drink options. The pub holds Happy Hour Specials every Monday to Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The website highlights daily food specials, while a “Six Nights of Specials” feature allows one to plan any night of the week at Flanagan’s:

Tuesday: $2.00 U-Call-Its, $3.00 Vodka Red Bulls, and $4.00 Bombs

Included in Flanagan’s pub-style menufor lunch and dinner are both American and Irish-minded dishes. Going back to roots in Ireland, the pub offers mouth-watering Shepard’s Pie and Corned Beef favorites. On the other hand, sticking with American favorites, Flanagan’s menu showcases burgers, such as the Classic Burger with Bacon & Chedder, Mushroom & Swiss, or Olives & Chedder options, sandwiches and wraps, such as the Honey Mustard Turkey Wrap, and much more.
Flanagan’s Irish Pub would not be complete without an annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. This year’s event offers much of the same as years past with drink specials, an early morning Irish breakfast, and entertainment throughout the day. For Flanagan’s 31st St. Patrick’s celebration, doors open at 7:00am with an Irish breakfast of scrambled eggs, corned beef hash, bacon, and wheat toast. Green Beer will be flowing heavily all day, along with classic Irish brew and drink options like Guinness, Murphy’s, Magner’s, Harp, Smithwick’s, Killian’s, Irish Car Bombs, and more. That same night, check out Music by Rich Burkholder & Oregon Dreamchild from 5:00pm to 2:00am.
Whether Flanagan’s is your St. Patrick’s Day celebratory choice this year, or an option for a standard dinner and night out, the pub encompasses all necessary features for a great Grand Rapids night out. Visit the pub Mondays through Fridays from 11:00am to 2:00am or Saturdays from 12:00pm to 2:00am. ~Kristin M. Coppens, Media Relations Director
