The Intersection in Grand Rapids has been successfully showcasing live music and entertainment to the city and surrounding communities for more than 38 years.  Originally located on Wealthy Street, The Intersection now resides Downtown Grand Rapids at 133 Grandville Ave.  Serving as a hub for local and national bands and entertainment, The Intersection fits the mold of a nightclub, concert venue, and bar all in one.  In fact, according to their website, The Intersection is a place where “you can enjoy a cool drink during Happy Hour, an intimate concert in the front lounge, or a quality night of entertainment in the Showroom.”

The front lounge of The Intersection holds a capacity of 400 people, which aims to feature smaller concerts and entertainment.  On the other hand, the main showroom holds a capacity of 835 people.  In fact, pending finalization and approvals from the city, The Intersection is planning a new building that will cater to at least a capacity of 1,500 people in their showroom.

One of the great things about The Intersection is that they host such a variety of bands and entertainment.  Those bands have included very well-known groups, as well as locals who are just getting their start. Additionally, The Intersection has shows many days of the week instead of only the weekends.
